Overview
This policy explains how Royvent Technologies (“Royvent”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal information you share with us through our website at royvent.com, our contact channels, or during the discovery phase of a potential engagement.
We collect the minimum information needed to respond to you, scope an engagement, and run our business. We do not sell personal information. We do not run third-party advertising. We try to be the kind of company you would trust with your own data — because for many of you, you will be.
What we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact information you submit through our website or send by email — typically name, email address, company name, role, and the message you write.
- Project context you choose to share during discovery — problem statement, sample data (if you send it), system diagrams, screenshots.
- Basic site analytics — anonymised page views, referring URLs, country-level location, browser/device type. We use a privacy-respecting analytics setup that does not require cookies for the core measurement.
- Cookies only where strictly necessary for site function (e.g. remembering your dark/light mode preference). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 18.
How we use it
We use the information you share to:
- Reply to your enquiry and run discovery conversations.
- Prepare proposals and Statements of Work.
- Deliver Services engagements that are subsequently signed.
- Improve the website and our written materials.
- Comply with our legal and tax obligations.
We do not use your information to train public AI models, and we do not share your project context with anyone outside the Royvent team without your explicit written permission.
Where we store it
We are headquartered in India. Most of the systems we use to receive and process your enquiries are hosted in India or in standard global cloud regions. By contacting us, you consent to your information being processed in those regions.
For paid Services engagements, the storage location of project data (source code, model artefacts, customer data) is specified in the SOW — typically in your own cloud accounts, not ours.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails and discovery notes for as long as a relationship with you might reasonably continue, and then for a further period to meet our legal, tax, and audit obligations. As a guideline:
- Active enquiries: kept while the conversation is live.
- Closed-without-engagement enquiries: deleted within 24 months of last contact, on request or automatically.
- Engagement-related records: retained for the contractual period plus the minimum legal retention required by Indian tax and accounting law.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you.
- Correct any inaccurate information.
- Ask us to delete your information, subject to our legal retention obligations.
- Withdraw consent at any time for any processing that is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority in your jurisdiction.
To exercise any of these rights, write to contact@royvent.com. We will respond within one (1) business day and complete the request within thirty (30) days.
Security
We follow practical security measures appropriate for a small, senior team — encrypted transit, encrypted storage on managed services, two-factor authentication on every account that supports it, principle-of-least-privilege access, and regular review of who has access to what. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your information with the same care we apply to our own.
Royvent Products
This policy covers the public Royvent Technologies website and pre-engagement Services interactions only. Royvent Products (SaaS apps, APIs, mobile apps owned by Royvent) each have their own privacy policy hosted on their own website. When you sign up for a product, you are agreeing to that product's privacy policy specifically — please read it before creating an account.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on this page for a reasonable period after publication.
